How you can withdraw cash from ATM without debit card

We look at cardless ATM withdrawal facilities provided by SBI and ICICI Bank

ATM withdrawal cardlessTwo banks, SBI and ICICI Bank, today provide their customers the facility to withdraw cash from their ATMs without using the debit cards. This comes very handy when you need to withdraw money but have left the wallet at home. Also, cardless cash withdrawal is a useful route to withdraw cash especially when you don’t want to use your debit card at a particular ATM. Let us take a look at the process to withdraw cash without the card. Read on to know more.

SBI cardless cash withdrawal

This is possible through SBI’s Yono app. An SBI account holder needs to log into Yono app using his or her credentials. You have to set a 6-digit MPIN.

After logging into the app, the account holder needs to click on the Yono Cash icon.

Then go to the ATM section. Enter the amount you want to withdraw from ATM. The maximum limit for this facility is Rs 10,000.

SBI will then send you a Yono Cash transaction number to your registered mobile.

The account holder then needs to use this number and the PIN at any of SBI’s Yono Cash Points. These cash points are card-less transaction enabled ATMs of SBI.

Do note that this reference number needs to be used within 30 minutes along with your PIN at a YONO cash point to withdraw cash.

At the ATM, the user needs to use the option card-Less transaction. You then go to Yono Cash section and enter the details.

ICICI cardless cash withdrawal

An ICICI Bank customer has to open the iMobile app. Then, go to services and click on Cardless Cash withdrawal option.

Enter the amount, 4-digit temporary PIN and select account number from which the amount is to be debited. Daily limit is Rs 20,000 and per transaction limit is also Rs 20,000.

Confirm the details displayed in the pre-confirmation screen and click on submit.

Next, you will receive an SMS with a unique 6-digit code on the registered mobile phone from ICICI Bank.

Now, visit a specified ICICI Bank ATM and enter the registered mobile number, temporary 4-digit code which you have set, the 6-digit code (as received in SMS, and exact withdrawal amount.

Cash will be dispensed on successful authentication of all these parameters. The entire amount needs to be withdrawn as a one-time transaction.

Do note that the transaction and code will be valid until midnight of the next day. In case the code is not used till then, the transaction amount will be reversed to the source account within two working days.
